Grrrrrrrr

Ok, so my husband's schedule is a rotation kind of thing, we could literally figure out what day he works 5 years for now.  So it is nice cause you can plan ahead.  Grrrrrr - today he gets a phone call that he is being moved to a different shift.  Nice huh!  Effective Sept 1st.  So I have spent the last two hours redoing calendars, figuring out if I have babysitting available etc.  This is not how I wanted to spend this beautiful day.

Yes I know I am complaining, but I had to vent and who better to vent to then my blog friends.  And let me tell you one other thing I hate having to make changes on my pocket calendar.  OH MY!  There is so much white out on it now I might just go buy a new one.

Help Wanted

I currently have two openings:

Babysitter needed:  College girl or stay at home mom wanting to make a little cash.  4 or 5 days a month, main responsibility will be for an adorable little man.  Must have a love of outdoors equal to his.

Personal harasser:  Female friend needed, can't be nice, must hold me accountable to some sort of exercise/diet routine.  Very pushy is a must, and must be willing to drive to my house for interventions when needed.

I think that pretty well sums it up.  Applicants can apply by leaving a post or email me at sjhmarcee@peoplepc.com

First Day of Second Grade!

Here are some cute pictures of Hannah on her first day of school.  This was the first year that I haven't been home to take her, but Scott did a great job of getting the shots he knew I would want.

Hannah with our dog, Koda
Hannah and her brother
Hannah at her desk
Hannah and her teacher, Mrs. Rinck.  Doesn't she look like an awesome teacher?

Funny Joke

WARNING - SOME MAY FIND THIS AS CRUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was doing some cleaning out of files and found this joke I had printed off 9 years ago.  It still cracks me up, I know it is kinda crude, but you will laugh if you dare!

The Fireman's Sex Life. . .

A fireman came home from work one day and told his wife, "You know, we have a wonderful system at the fire station;

Bell 1 one rings and we all put on our jackets, Bell 2 rings and we all slide down the pole, Bell 3 rings and we're on the fire truck ready to go.

From now on when I say Bell 1, I want you to strip naked.  When I say Bell 2, I want you to jump in bed.  And when I say Bell 3, we are going to make love all night."

The next night he came home from work and yelled "Bell 1!".  The wife promptly took all her clothes off.  When he yelled "Bell 2!", the wife jumped into bed.  When he yelled "Bell 3!", they began making love.

After a few minutes the wife yelled "Bell 4!"  "What on this earth is Bell 4?" the husband asked.

"Roll out more hose," she replied, "You're nowhere near the fire!"

Go ahead, I know you laughed!

Weigh In Wednesday

So let me update you on the journey.  Ummmmm, let's say we have had some car trouble.  Kinda stalled out.  Thought I was gonna try a new diet - the hcg drops so I kinda blew it off for a week or so.  Now decided NO I don't wanna do the drops.  I would never recommend that diet to a patient so I will not do it to myself.  Anyway, I did get on ebay and order a 3 month WW journal and it came in yesterday so today I start again.  Good thing was I didn't gain back the two pounds I lost!  I will keep you all posted!

Blah Blah Blah

So I have been a little MIA.  A few things have contributed to this.  The first being my computer was being really crazy in the last week, I already have to deal with the slowness of dial-up but it was just being cantankerous.  So that is part.  Another part of it was the sad event for St. James Band last week.  I haven't really known what to say about it.  I put my daughter on a school bus every night to come home and it was very unsettling for me.  But I did hear on the news that was talking about school bus safety and they said something like for the 147 school bus related accident deaths last year only 11 of them were from occupants of the school bus.  The other freaky part of that is last Thursday our family headed to Six Flags, I remember passing the St. James buses less than 5 minutes from the accident scene.  I remember saying to Scott "I bet they are headed to Six Flags!".  Hmmmm.  This lead me to have all kinds of feelings from super sad to super thankful.  I was sad that we weren't there to help.  We could have just as easily been behind the bus, Scott is a paramedic, I am a nurse.  Maybe we could have helped.  Immediately following that thought was a totally disturbing thought of that could have been us instead of that truck.  You can imagine what all went through my head.  Not to mention I feel so sad for those kids.  When I was in school we went through a bad year or so where we lost alot of kids to car accidents and I remember feeling so lost.  I am so proud of St James though, we have rallied around those kids so much and I am proud to be a part of this community.  My prayers are with all involved including those bus drivers.  I know how traffic was that morning, they can say they were following too closely all they want.  But the reality is that area was super congested because of construction.  Everyone was bumper to bumper.  Even us.  Vomit, that is what I want to do when I think about it.

Anywho, I am gonna try to get back on track this weekend.  I should have some great fishing pics of Scott and Jack and some first day of school pics of Hannah.  And my Featured Family Member.  Oh and Weigh In Wednesday too.

Featured Family Member

This week's I am featuring Miss Isabel Ann!  She is my sister Jessica's youngest daughter AND the newest member of my family.  Isabel has the most beautiful eyes, oh and cheeks you can't help but smootch!  Something special about Isabel is that she is my only niece or nephew that I got to be present for when she was born.  I remember feeling so honored to be one of the first people to meet her, and the first person to give her a bath.  Gotta love that new baby smell!  She is the reason I get baby fever!!!  She will be one next month, so hard to believe!
