Seriously?

Is this really happening? Have my friends really quit reading my blog? Do I really have no comments for two posts in a row? (hysterical sobbing here)

More Funnies

Out of the mouth of Jackson:

After his first day at his new daycare we were laying on my bed together watching a little tv before bedtime. I was asking him questions about his new daycare. He answered 3 or so and then said "Shub up". I of course asked him to repeat what he said, he says to me "Shub up". I swallowed hard and said "Jackson are you telling me to Shut up?". His reply (of course priceless) was "Yah Mom, shub up, I tired". Now I know, I should not have laughed but how do you not? Seriously? I of course in my nicest mommy voice explained to him that we don't tell people to shut up.

And for the other funny. Every Monday night Hannah has gymnastics. We take turns driving her and Chloe and always meet up at McDonald's. We (both sets of parents) have started a bad habit of getting them Happy Meals when they are done. So Jackson and I are at McDonald's waiting to pick up Sissy. She of course gets in the car with a Happy Meal. Now, I had fed Jackson a much healthier dinner earlier in the evening. He wasn't starved. As we are pulling out he says to me with his little chubby hands turned up in the perfect little position as if saying "huh" and says "Mommy, me want a Happy burger please". Hannah and I bust into hysterical laughter. If you guys could have seen his precious little face, and he used his manners. So of course we turned back into the parking lot and got his "Happy burger".

Funny

Does anyone need a new excuse for calling in to work/school? I have a great one!

Good morning *insert name*. I am calling in today because I am stuck in my garage.

Yep! I am stuck in my garage. You see the cables that attach to the spring that pulls the door up and down came undone. Well one side came undone last night. So me in my brilliance decided to undo the other side so that it wouldn't be all cock-eyed in the track. Hmmmm, big mistake. Cause this morning when I went to open it, all I got was about 6 inches. Suburban no fit under 6 inches. So being the industrious woman I am thought oh I will just unhook it with the little "emergency latch" that we use to open it when we have no electric. Again, big mistake. Garage door slam to ground. Cause the cables are undone and so the super strong magical spring that makes it go up and down won't let me and my super woman strength open it. So again being independent and not needing a man to fix this reconnected the one side of the cable. Well I couldn't get enough tension in the cable so I can't fix it. It will have to wait until Scott gets home at 9. So I called my instructor with the best excuse ever. Good thing Hannah was staying at the sister in law's house, she can get to school. Just Jack and I hanging out here, held prisoner in my house.

70

What is significant about 70? Let me tell you. In 70 days I will be graduating from RN school!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it? I am starting to get to the point where I can look back and be proud of how far I have come. I have made such good friends in Nursing school and am gonna be really, really sad when we all graduate. I have gotten very used to spending my days next to Jinna and Michelle. Anyway - in honor of my 70 days remaining I am compiling a list.

The top 7 things I am gonna do when nursing school is over!
1. Go to Florida! Yep! Can't wait!
2. Relax (see #1)
3. Get my house in order! I hate the feeling like it is always half-clean and closets that are busting at the seams and dirty window sills and oh wow the list could go on and on.
4. Spend time with my kids! This will start at #1 and continue day after day after day. I hate that I feel like my kiddos have suffered, I hope they remember seeing their mom work hard to achieve a goal and not resent the time I had to spend studying.
5. Be the wife my husband deserves! He has been a trooper through all this (for the record he went through paramedic school first, this was the deal). But I do know it has been hard on him too. He has had to deal with a cranky, mean, exhausted, frustrated wife.
6. Have a baby! Yep! We really, truly want to have another baby and hope it happens soon!
7. Give back. So many friends and family members have helped us through this process, I hope I can return the favor to them or pay it forward to someone else.

Anyway, suddenly 70 days does not seem so far away!
