Pregnancy Update
Well ladies the first trimester flew by me and I am happy to report that I am feeling so much better, just a little hint of heartburn if I eat too much. I had an ultrasound two weeks ago that measures the nuchal fold of the baby. (An abnormal nuchal fold can be an indicator of a spinal cord defect.) It was perfect, nothing to be concerned about. I was amazed at how much that little bean has changed in 5 weeks time. I loved seeing hands and feet and how it wouldn't hold still for the ultrasound. I cannot wait to see what kind of personality #3 has!
Hannah is going through a bit of a phase here lately. I think it is related to baby #3. She is so needy and emotional. I have tried to get out of her what is on her mind and she says nothing. She had a bit of a bullying issue at school (she was being bullied) but I think we finally have gotten past that. But I really think she is afraid of what her role is gonna be when #3 arrives. She cries at the drop of a hat, I have done everything I can think of to reassure her that we love all our kids just the same and yes she sometimes has to do extra stuff Jack doesn't have to do but she also gets extra privileges that he doesn't. So now I have just resorted to constant prayer for her little heart. I remember when my mom had my younger sister, I was devastated. Not that I didn't love Kayla, but I just knew she wouldn't need me anymore or have time for me anymore. Obviously that wasn't the case, but I am pretty sure that is what she is thinking. So pray for my little Hannah.
Oh and Mr. Jack. He is a true dandy! A couple of weeks ago we all went to St. Louis shopping. Scott, Hannah, and him all got the frost free vests at Old Navy. Suddenly I noticed Jack was gone (Scott was supposed to be watching him). So we frantically search the store and where do we find him? In the baby clothes section picking out a frost free vest for the baby. Seriously, does it get any more precious that than. It took some doing but we convinced him that we should wait until next year when we know what color we need and what size. He is also convinced it is a boy and he will share a room with Jack - wouldn't that be great!
As for Scott and I we are just enjoying a month of so of holiday fun cause after the first of the year we gotta get part of the basement finished just in case it is a girl and we need another bedroom. Still haven't decided if we are gonna find out the gender or not, sometimes we want to know, other times we don't. Who knows what we will decided.

Christmas Cards
I love getting Christmas Cards! And I love sending them out! And I love this great offer for bloggers from Shutterfly! Here are some of my favorite cards.
I would love to put a picture of each kid and scan in one of my ultrasound pictures for the third spot. Wouldn't that be so cute.
This one is super cute also.
And I love this one. It is almost like sending out one of those fancy smancy Christmas letters that I have never been brave enough to do. And we have had so many awesome things happen this year.
My sweet little sister had a post on facebook this morning about Christmas Cards that has me thinking. What is the reason I send out Christmas Cards? And what do I love about getting them?
For me I send them out to say "Hey! Merry Christmas! Enjoy the season, don't forget the reason! Look how big my kiddos have gotten!" Nothing major. I just love Christmas and everything it is all about. From the birth of our Savior to Santa to family gatherings to snow (let's hope) to yummy food it is the best time of the year. I try very hard to instill in my children that God gave us his son on Christmas Day to save us and we should willingly give to others as well. So I guess Christmas Cards are a bit of an "announcement" about the season (as if anyone could miss it).
I love getting Christmas cards also! I love seeing the different designs, and I love getting picture cards to see how everyone else's kids/family has changed. It is so much fun! I love seeing a card from someone new as well. And I will usually book it inside to get a card out to them as well.

Halloween 2010
I am so behind on posts and pictures so I thought I would try to get some out there. Here are some pictures from Halloween 2010! The kids had a blast, Jack's bucket got so full and heavy he didn't wanna trick or treat anymore.

A little complaining. . .
So anyone who knows me very well knows that Fall is my favorite time of year. Let me define Fall for you (in the dictionary of Jaimee): Highs in the mid-50's to 60. Lows cold enough to need to snuggle. Jeans and hoodies required, nothing heavier than that, maybe some gloves if you have sensitive hands.
Ahem! This weather we are experiencing is not Fall by any means and making me very angry. I have tried not to complain about it BUT WHERE IS MY FALL WEATHER? My kids summer clothes are worn out and getting to small, not to mention how do you dress for this weather. And we all know what is gonna happen, next week (not an actual forecast) it is gonna turn off to freezing cold Winter (my second favorite season) and we will have had no Fall at all.
For the record Spring is my third favorite and I despise Summer. I like it for about three trips to the river and then I am done with sweating. I know I am the minority, but truly I do love all the season, but I really love Fall!

Big News
Ok ladies I wanted to pass along that I am pregnant! We had been keeping it hush hush until after my first visit. That has now came and went so I am telling everyone! My due date is June 11th, so then I will be a mom of three! Wow! What was I thinking!

Helpful ER Hints
Just want to give you all some helpful tips when visiting the ER. Please note, if you don't have a slight bit of dry humor these will not be funny to you, but if you choose to read them you choose to not take offense. Just saying, and yes these are all actual events, names have been changed to protect the innocent.
#1. Your athlete's foot that has been bothering you for the last three months is not an emergency on Sunday afternoon.
#2. If you tell me your kid has a fever, I believe you. Please, please, please do not withhold Tylenol or Motrin from the child for the sake of "proving" it to me. The last thing I want to see is 104.9 on the thermometer, I tend to get worked up. Oh and don't tell me you can't afford it, I do have a nose and can smell the $4.00 pack of cigarettes you smoked on your way here, you have money for your kid.
#3. If you last period was two weeks ago, and it was a regular period, at the right time I seriously doubt you are pregnant. And if you think you are go to Walmart, pregnancy test are $4.00 and will give you the same answer your $200 ER visit just did - negative!
#4. Wearing your last two ER visit bracelets to your current ER visit will tell us two things - you are a frequent flyer AND you haven't showered anytime recently. Let me cut those off for you.
#5. At times the ER is a place where actual medical emergencies are occurring. Yes I realize that your discharge paperwork will take less than 5 minutes, but with only two nurses working in the ER 5 minutes is alot of brain-blood flow time for a person not breathing. I sometimes do have other priorities.
#6. If you want lots and lots of attention come in saying you have chest pain. Yep! It's a one way ticket to the big room, but don't even tell me once you get there and I have every department in the hospital headed my way to help you that it really is not that bad. Chest pain is chest pain, if it ain't chest pain don't say it was.
#7. Mom was right when she told us to always wear clean underwear or just wear underwear in general. If you choose not to, be prepared to go commando.
#8. Don't deny being a drug user and then sit outside our waiting room soliciting pain meds from employees coming on duty. We will call the sheriff's department to explain to you what being a drug user is, and they will not be as nice as we would have been had you been honest the whole time.
#9. Babies don't have to poop every day. For real, if they aren't fussy count your blessings, that was one day you didn't have to smell baby poop.
#10. Regarding ambulance use: If you call an ambulance for your dermatitis it does not guarantee we will send you straight to a room, more than likely you will be triaged and sent to the waiting room to sit next to athlete's foot and pregnancy test. However, if you sever your radial artery and blood is pumping out of it and you live more than 10 minutes away it is ok to call an ambulance. They appreciate being able to actually help someone from time to time. It helps them feel all helpful.
